Filming for this short film commenced at 12noon on the weekend of Saturday 19th-20th July at Annestown House in Co Waterford. All the film’s elements – including the editing, music composition and colour grading were completed during this time and the film submitted by 12 noon on The Sunday. ‘Echoes In Grey’ was produced as part of The South East 24 Hour Film Challenge, this was a collaboration between Waterford Film Centre and South East Women in Film. An amazing project which received numerous awards. Annestown House faces breathtaking Atlantic Ocean – the village of Annestown is situated in the Copper Coast UNESCO Global Geopark.
The 24-hour film challenge
Every team had to make a film in Waterford, incorporating a Waterford landmark. In addition each team was given a prop one hour before starting, along with a complex line of dialogue, both of which had to be incorporated into the film!
